The Boss has found a new building to buy and will no longer rent. It’s time to move the office and guess who gets to work weekends. Moving an office can be a very easy move considering it is mostly paper and computers. Of course you will have someone from IT move the computer or someone who is experienced to take care of that work. Now let’s get ready for the rest of the office. We will need rope and tape, several blankets. When shopping for these items check your family dollar general store in the neighborhood see if you can save a couple dollars. There may be some old blankets around the house that can be used to protect the desks and furniture when putting them onto the truck.
If you need to purchase some boxes, check at a public storage place to see if they have a good deal on office moving stuff. Check with your local liquor store and see about a good time to pick up some free boxes. Everybody likes free. Make sure you use the hand truck whenever possible so you save your back. The easiest way to move those files is to take the drawers out first and with the hand truck put the file cabinet in the truck and replace the drawers and rope the cabinets so they don’t slide. So far the move has been quite easy and we haven’t been long gathering the file cabinets. No sense in empting the folder into a box and then go back the other way is so different. Wasting time is wasting money. Heavy items are to be placed in the front of the truck so that if the brakes are hit nothing is going to slide because the heavy items are up front and everything should be roped. The number one thought is to be safe and the move should go smoothly.
